Make an appointment today and let’s talk about your health!
Hi, my name is Dr. Juan Agudelo. I’m a medical specialist with over 24 years of experience in Orthopedic Surgery and trained in adult reconstruction and joint replacement. I use a combination of the most advanced surgical techniques and minimally invasive procedures to restore hip and knee function. I’m also actively involved in training the next generation of orthopedic surgeons as an instructor at the University of Miami/HCA JFK Hospital Orthopedic Residency Program, as well as serving as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Florida Orthopedic Society.
My education consisted of dual residencies at the University Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín, Colombia (2000) and at the University of Colorado in Denver (2010), and my current practice is centered on Direct Anterior Hip Replacement, minimally invasive hip/knee surgery, and robotic-assisted hip/knee replacement.
As a Board-Certified orthopedic surgeon bilingual in English and Spanish, It is my priority to connect with my patients on a deeper level and to listen to my patients as best as I can, giving them the time and space to understand their needs and help them find the best treatment possible. Additionally, I did a research fellowship at the Denver Health Medical Center and an Adult Reconstruction fellowship at the University of Colorado.
Outside of my profession, my family is incredibly important to me and I love to participate in various activities with my kids. I also love biking and exercising, and I’ve participated in many 5K events. I would love to get to know you as my patient and work together towards achieving a healthier lifestyle free from orthopedic complications.
